Top DJs Nationwide Competed for One Spot to Represent Canada at World Finals in Poland in 2018

Cam B it’s 2017 Canadian Red Bull 3Style National Champion. From inside downtown Vancouver’s FortuneSound Club, DJ Cam B (aka Cam Ballantyne) beat out competitors from across the country in the ultimate battle for the spot to represent Canada at the world finals in Krakow, Poland this February, where he'll compete against the top DJs from more than 20 countries around the world. “Right now it feels like a dream come true - it doesn’t feel real. Making a 3Style set is just so hard, I was just trying to think of something different!” said Cam B. in an interview after he was awarded the win. With a career already several years in the making, DJ Cam B is widely regarded as one of the clear future stars within the world of DJing and DJ competitions.

The Red Bull 3Style World DJ Championships have been advancing the culture of DJing, entertaining audiences all around the world since 2010. Last year’s World Final in Santiago Chile was the wildest one yet and they are now set to embark in their 8th year as a global event series and don’t worry, they’ve made promises to be even bigger and better!

Cam’s victory to this year’s Red Bull 3Style contest, was a prescient indication of his boundless potential to become a home town hero and to winning a big contest. Showing the rest of the world what he’s made of. Despite being from a neighbouring city west of Toronto Ontario called Hamilton, Ballantyne has already earned some top results in DJing around the world including 2017 DMC Canada East Coast Scratch Vice-Champ. Hamilton’s longest running weekly rap party - Buggin Out Saturdays at Che Lounge - where they are resident DJ’s. Both booking and playing alongside internationally known DJs.
